How to stay Stronger for Longer - the Fit Bones way

Mission
With a background of over 30 years as an Osteopath specialising in musculoskeletal (MSK) problems, I think I have a good understanding of the human framework and what physical stresses, injuries, sports, and life in general can do to our bodies.
Mix my professional activities with my passion for adventure sports for more than 5 decades and you can begin to see why I have an interest in talking to people from all walks of life about getting fit and staying fit so we can keep having adventures and stay 'stronger for longer'.
Motorcyclists of all persuasions have at least some basic understanding of how a bike works and so I have tried to draw analogies between the human body and motorcycles as a way of encouraging fellow bikers to look after their body, and keep it strong and healthy.
A new motorcycle is a fine machine, radiant and imbibed with all the great fun we plan to have with it. Everything feels sharp, precise, responsive, and energetic.
Over the years with age, use, and abuse, the bike feels a little less precise and sharp, perhaps some of the sparkle has reduced, alongside the energy it used to have. You have a look at some of your mates' bikes, and well, some don't look so good... They haven’t looked after them, they're rusty, bits don’t work, suspension is shot, it handles badly and has become very unreliable. The difference is that you have looked after yours, serviced it regularly, repaired it properly when needed, replaced worn parts, looked after it as it should have been, and are left with a much better, well-cared for bike.

Now imagine if we think of that bike as you! Obviously, we have no choice in the given ‘brand’ - we don’t get to choose whether we are a Ducati, a BMW, or a Honda. Even though genetics play a reasonable part in our make up, we can work with what we have and make the most of it to improve it as best we can. Plenty of Hondas have travelled the world.
